The Skies family is a set of 14 twins - each a male and female representative of the elements. Light, dark, earth, water, air, fire, and spirit.
My name sake, my baby, my everything! Wynter was my first OC ever. She's gone through the most changes, and I wanna get everything down here because she's just so important to me. The only thing I don't really have is an image of her. With all the changes and my growing up, her appearance has shifted in my head, and I've just never been able to properly draw her. At the end of all this ramble about her I'll put the one commission I ever got of her when I was 17, and maybe someday I'll be able to properly draw her myself.
Wynter began as a 13 year old girl with wind, storm, and fog powers. I was 11, and super obsessed with reading books about girls with powers, especially elemental powers. I had two different friend groups I was in throughout this part of my life and I dragged them into this love of the elements, but within all my groups I was kind of the odd one out that didn't fit a specific one. My friends were always very clearly fire, earth, water, or air, and I would kind of fill in whichever the other three didn't take.(I did notice though that I was never fire.) All this info is important because I wrote fanfiction about us, short stories with characters my friends would each have a say in making. And since I was in these too, I needed a self insert for me! Wynter was my first and I decided she would be "me" in stories for the rest of my life.
I didn't want to take elements away from my friends, so I just kind of... made one up myself. I was the "mysterious" fifth element, spirit. Later on everyone would choose their own "theme" rather than just a basic element but Wynter has always been some version of spirit as I've grown up, even if the original "storm" parts of her character have come and gone. So, at 13, Wynter was an edgy teen girl who could psychically communicate with all of her friends. She could control thunder and lightning, could levitate (but couldn't fly, she couldn't do everything or she'd be *gasp* a Mary Sue) and she was just generally as badass as a 13 year old girl could be. She was also as far I was concerned, an only child. This would dramatically change once I stopped writing stories about my friends and started making up a world instead.
From around 13 to 16 (my age) Wynter grew a little. I aged her up to 16, and she became less edgy and more isolated. I decided she didn't have storm powers, or if she did she hardly used them, and instead she was an assasin for hire that speciallised in poison. She had gotten her siblings, but they were more of a faint idea and she was estranged from them anyways. She spent her days in a little cottage in the woods, receiving letters that asked for her help killing somebody. I started to develop a story for her here that was about one of her sisters tricking and betraying her, but I couldn't ever really figure out where to go with it. I dropped it for a while and Wynter just became my online persona when I was super into roleplaying online lmao.
Between 17 and 19 (my age) I finally started fleshing her out into who she is now. I aged her up one more time, she's 24 now, and even though I'm older than her now I won't be aging her up again in order for her story to work. She's finally got a canon age! She's also got a fuck ton of siblings. That's what the rest of this page is for ;) She still lives in a house in the woods (the appalachian mountains) but she's only estranged from two siblings. Each of them represents an element because I was back on my bullshit, and Wynter has settled back into her role as "spirit". Her youngest sister Mist took over her place with storm powers, and is basically a softer version of Wynter when I was a kid, but you'll read about her later. She's still an assasin for hire, and she likes being the middle sibling in her family. She's not nearly as edgy anymore, but she does have an icy temperment that can flare up easily.
In conclusion Wynter is my darling girl and I'll love her for forever.
August is the male counterpart of the element Spirit. He's 24, has shaggy white hair and gray eyes. He's skinny, but not unhealthily so. He's extremely pale. He's much quieter than his twin, Wynter, and he prefers to kind of stay out of the way. He loves his family but even when they're all gathered on the deck or in the living room he's usually off to the side with an earbud in. Everyone knows this about him and love him in their own ways, which is usually leaving him alone or sitting quietly next to him.
August's job to make money in the house is to work as a freelance writer. The family for the most part tries to stay away from the outside world, so once a week he'll gather news articles and pop culture events that pertain to each siblings interests, and everyone will sit around him while he tells them what's been going on out there.
Mist is the female counterpart of the element Air. She's 12, has a baby face and big round eyes. Her hair is long and straight, and has been salt and pepper colored since birth.
Mist doesn't make money for the house since she's too young, but she loves to run around and help her sisters with their errands whenever they let her. She wants to be a "bodyguard" like Wynter someday. She lets on pretty early in my story that she knows Wynter actually kills people, and she doesn't care.
She's loud, energetic, and wild. Her eyes are always a little too big, like she's trying to absorb everything around her. She's also a little too trusting.
Knight is the male counterpart of the element Air. He's 12, has long salt and pepper hair that he keeps braided like Nate's, and gray eyes. He's lean and really wants to grow muscle, but his siblings won't let him overwork himself.
Nate is excitable like his twin, but has his guard up a bit more than she does. When the older kids are out in the world, he gets nervous when they're gone for too long. He's also extremely distrusting of strangers. He loves making his older siblings laugh.
Knight also doesn't have a job, so he makes traps and hunts and fishes with his older brothers. He'd like to have his own niche someday to help provide, but isn't sure what he'll do differently yet.
Nate is the male counterpart of the element Earth. He's 18, tanned and very strong. He has long dark brown hair that he usually braids or keeps up in a bun, and dark brown eyes.
He's the hunter and gatherer of the siblings. He likes setting traps for wildlife to get the family meat, and he takes care of the few chickens that they keep around for their eggs. Nate is headstrong and confident, but he's not cocky. He's extremely loving to his siblings, especially towards Knight. He loves running laps around the woods, and showing his siblings all the plants that grow in the area when they join him.
Olivia is the female counterpart of the element Earth. She's 18, tan and tall with a runners build. She's got dark brown hair that she keeps cut short in a choppy kind of bob to be out of her way, and dark brown eyes.
She likes to help Nate hunt, and she loves to climb trees. She's the group's lookout for this reason. She pretends not to care as much about the chickens, but when someone ventures out to do any actual shopping she'll give them what extra money she might have to get them higher quality feed. She's also one of the only siblings to truly interact with the outside world. She'll run the farmers market stall during that season to help make a little extra money because she knows how to be charismatic.
Eliza is the female counterpart of the element Light. She's 30, very tall and the most mature of anyone in the house. She has down to her knees, perfectly wavy blonde hair and hazel eyes.
She's the mother figure of the house, nurturing and sweet. Everyone respects and loves her deeply. Her role in the house is usually making chore sheets, cooking meals, and checking in on everyone's well being. She gives off a very serene appearance and has a calming energy around her, but she does worry for her siblings. She loves being the mediator in arguments. She can interact with the outside world the easiest out of anybody in the house, but she tends to get shy when she does.
Lucas is the male counterpart of the element Light. He's 30, is strong but not muscular, and is the tallest in the house. He has hazel eyes and medium length blonde hair that he keeps in a bun.
Lucas is the front man of the house. If someone gets into something where there's necessary paperwork, he'll file it as legal gaurdian and is as vague about their living conditions as he can be. He'll occasionally help August with his writing, and if August needs to do a video meeting or be in person somewhere, Lucas will fill in for him.
Amber is the female counterpart of the element Fire. She's 22, and has unnaturally bright red hair that she keeps up in a high ponytail. She has light brown eyes, and isn't muscular or strong at all. She loves wearing loud makeup and lots of jewlery.
Amber has the most contact with the outside world out of everyone in the house. She's an influencer, running a beauty channel on YouTube and Instagram. She takes a shit ton of sponsorships, and it brings in a good chunk of the house's money. She gets invited on lots of PR trips and gets lots of products (to a fake address obviously) that she loves to share with the house.
She's fiery, full of herself, and materialistic. She's snarky with her siblings, but they all know she loves them just as much as they love her. She's smarter than she acts and she's a very good liar. She puts on a bright bubbly persona for her videos.
Phoenix is the male counterpart of the element Fire. He's 22, and has short red hair normally done up with gel or hairspray. He's a bit of a pretty boy, also not strong or muscular. He has light brown eyes.
For his job, he writes captions for and edits Amber's videos. He also freelance edits for several other YouTubers and has a couple good gigs going with being who upload pretty regularly. He's outgoing and also sassy, but more chill than his twin. If Amber is going on a trip and is nervous, he's the only person she'll let know, and he'll accompany her. He loves everyone, but he's fiercly protective of Amber.
Sapphire is the female counterpart of the element Dark. She's 28, with razor straight dark black hair and green eyes. She's extremely skinny and pale with long, spiderlike limbs.
She lives away from the main house, probably much closer to the inner city. She is their parents ideal child, cold and manipulative. She flaunts her wealth, treating everyone but Michael as beneath her. She'll do anything to work her way to the top and grab as much power as she can, including cheating, lying, sleeping around, and murdering. What her and Michael are actually up to is a big background mystery in Wynter's story.
Michael is the male counterpart to the element Dark. He's 28, with short jet black hair that's always very neatly styled. He's got green eyes, and is slender and long limbed like his twin, but he looks just a little more human.
He lives with her in an unknown area of the inner city, most likely working in a big corporation or politics. He's only as nice as he needs to be to work his way up, and is actively cruel otherwise. The typical sleazy business man and another "perfect" child.
Tristan is the male counterpart of the element Water. He's 26, tan and fit with a swimmers build. He has dirty blonde hair that's usually either buzzed or cut very short, and blue eyes. He's almost always shirtless and barefoot.
He loves to fish, and catch whatever animals Nate doesn't. He teaches Knight how to make fishing lures. Occasionally he'll go out and do summer lifeguarding jobs for a little extra income. Tristan is competitive, but a good sport. He tries not to cheat with his abilities. He's very friendly and outgoing, and likes to help Eliza and Lucas around the house. He's usually the handyman when something breaks.
Hailey is the female counterpart of the element Water. She's 26, curvy with blue eyes. She's got short dirty blonde hair, usually kept down and wavy. She's tan in the summers and pale in the winter.
Hailey teaches swim classes to bring in income. She does outside classes when it's warm and inside classes when it's cold. On her days off, she likes to help Tristan fish. She's very soft spoken and caring. She likes to make flower crowns out of river flowers to give to her swim students. She also loves hunting the riverbanks for trinkets, and especially likes bringing pretty rocks to Amber for her to make jewlery with. She tends to stay out of regular sibling bickering and keeps quiet like August. She loves to sit with Eliza and listen to her ramble, the only sibling Eliza will vent to.
Each of these bunny girls are representative of an aesthetic fixation that I have!
Kona is my fursona, and very heavily based off me! (Other than being single) She's bi, and extremely flirty. She loves coffee, obviously, but she also loves to shop, draw, and just be online in general! She's part of a bunch of different forums and has a vlogging channel on YouTube. She also loves clothes that show off her curves, but can just as easily wear a big chunky sweater and leggings. As long as she thinks it looks cute, she'll want it. She's also perpetually teary-eyed, just the saddest little bitch. I know it's hard to tell in the ref, but she has hip dips! Her hair is also kind of a weird choppy/curly mix. She's whatever age I am at the time, which right now is 25! SUPER LOVES THIS AESTHETIC!
Fun Fact: Allergic to alcohol, but loves taking edibles!
Chai is my fursona, and very heavily based off me! Her age and aesthetic tastes flex with whatever I miss the most at the moment. She represents most of my teen years! The younger she is, the more twee and hipster she dresses. The older she gets, the more pop punk and grunge inspired! She loves doing pinterest diys like covering her walls in color coded aesthetic pictures or making flower crowns/making melted crayon art/making mason jar terrariums. If you can picture the ideal cutesy tumblr girl in like 2014, that's who she wanted to be! I just wanna see this girly happy.

Rye is my halloween themed fursona! She's a pumpkin in the shape of a rabbit with cut outs for her face, ears, and stretch marks! She doesn't speak very much, but is super expressive in other ways. Not quite a mom figure to my other fursonas (that's more Kona's job), she still likes to make sure everyone is safe and happy. She specifically likes to hang out with Ginger!She's also the most threatening and can get very scary very quickly. Rye freelances, mostly writing marketing copy or different little articles for halloween specific products and sites! She loves halloween candy and baked goods, especially sour candies. Her insides are all yummy pumpkin guts and pumpkin seeds. (If she has to carve a new expression, sometimes she'll take the seeds that fall out and bake them for a snack!)
Fun Fact: Loves scary movies, but has a secret obsession with Hallmark movies too!
Ginger is my Christmas sona! She's a gingerbread bunny with icing stretch marks. Ginger is obsessed with Christmas, and runs a super popular blog (and instagram, and tiktok, and podcast) reviewing all kinds of holiday items! She also loves posting holiday recipes! She almost exclusively wears Christmas pajamas, but when she does go out she'll wear regular clothes with Christmas themes. She also really likes to hang out with Rye!
Fun Fact: Occasionally loves a good horror movie!
Dew is one of my fursonas, based off my love of the McBling aesthetic! I grew up with this at a very formative age and I always wanted to look like the It Girls like Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, etc! Dew is smart, but hyper feminine and likes to put on the bimbo personality. She's stylish, always getting featured in magazines, loves to accessorize and carry around the latest handbag. She has a huge sunglasses collection and always wears lipgloss! Right now she's working on her newest fragrance in her line of perfumes. She's got super sweet sugary vanilla scents and lots of florals!

Mercy is a 21 year old girl, my fursona version of my religious experience, as well as my general fascination of southern gothic. She is a preacher's daughter, who lives out in an extremely small town in the Deep South that spends its days farming and worshipping God. In this town, God is always watching, and he is to be feared. As a growing woman, Mercy feels shame about almost every single thought or feeling she has and sometimes wishes she couldn't feel anything at all except for devotion for God. On very very rare occassions she will follow one of her more "adult" urges, but will immediately punish herself afterwards. She is constantly praying. Mercy's fur and hair are flood water colored/patterned. If drawing her, you can use any color scheme as long as it's fairly dark. She always has a cross on her sternum. She doesn't usually wear clothes, but occasionally she'll put on a white slip that is also soaked in water. Her ears are church bulletin signs that can say anything. The defaults are usually "pray" or "repent".
Fun Fact: Has guilty dreams of running away.

Charlie is a country spirit who's mostly seen during dawn and dusk. She's always on a farm, in a field, or near a creek. She appears to be made of glass, and people who get close enough claim to see mason jar markings on her back. She's always wearing light and flowy clothes that show a lot of skin so she can feel the sun. She's also a bone-a-fide country girl and loves doing any country hobby you can think of. (she does tend to stay away from crowds, though) Her hair is made of creek water, and you can see the rocks, water bugs, and fish inside it. If she likes you a lot she might give you a pebble from it! Her eyes are the color of porch lights, and if you're lost she'll guide you home. Her eyes get brighter the closer you get to home. Her skin is filled with fireflies and the color of a sunset or sunrise. She's always chewing on a hay stalk or piece of wheat!
Fun Fact: Her hair is water, but can still be braided!
Nori is a surfer with gummy shark hair and tattoos! Her tattoos shine with sour crystals and so does her hair. Her prosthetic leg is a filled with water, with little sharks swimming around inside. She loves long boarding, coconut water, surfing(obviously), and working at the beach bar near her home! She'll occasionally help out with the community's local surf shack as well!
Fun Fact: Was a swimsuit model for a year or two!
This is P.B.! P.B. loves celebrating holidays. She's constantly decorating and shopping no matter what's coming up. She's going to school to become an interior designer, and her bedroom is always decked out in whatever holiday decor she can find. She also loves hot drinks (cocoa, hot tea, & coffee), and loves to bake! P.B. is lesbian and has a girlfriend, Cinna. Feel free to draw them together as well! P.B.'s head and body is made up of pillsbury sugar cookies. Her face/design is always whatever holiday is next/closest. The patterns on her body don't always match the shapes on her face, but the colors always match! She has hands, but she always wears oven mitts (also holiday appropriate), because her fingers are also made of cookie and she's extremely paranoid about them breaking off. (P.B. is not 2D but if she's turned to the side, her head is flat and not a sphere!) Her face can be any design but the style should always be super simple, like a sugar cookie. Her body patterns don't have to match the face shapes, but they *always* match the face colors.

Brandon is a helpful arcade employee! He's here to play, take tickets, and pass out prizes! Just don't cheat or vandalize the machines! Brandon has a glass torso that's also a crane catcher. The gear box that controls the crane is his heart! His legs are filled with prizes and tickets. All the prizes and colors in this drawing can change, it's up to you what he's giving out! He may even give you the grand prize if you have enough tickets! His eyes are arcade buttons, and his neck is a buzzer. His arms and fingers are glowsticks and glow bracelets. He is ALWAYS wearing light up shoes!

Rubi is a 2012 rave girl! She loves parties, raves, anywhere with loud music and skimpy clothes. If a shirt is torn up and says swag or yolo on it chances are she's wearing it. She loves chunky bracelets, domo hats, and big sneakers! She's usually seen anywhere that there's a black light. If she's not partying, she likes to go see Brandon at the arcade! In her alone time, she edits nightcore music videos and makes 'relateable' rage comics. Rubi's head is an IPod, you can change it to any color that Apple released if you'd like!

Poppy is just a bit goopy at times, but he'll be okay, right? Poppy loves cooking and does so often. His head is always broken and this doesn't hurt him, it's just how he is. His head can be broken in more than one spot, but never less than one. He gets emotional very easy, and when he cries his filling gets much more runny.

Fanta is very easily excitable, and the more excited he is, the fizzier he gets! He's just a generally fun loving guy, and his favorite activity is going to concerts, big events, or just anywhere with a large social gathering to see what's going on! Gala is a busy girl who's always on the move. As a small business owner, she's extremely busy in the fall and winter, since she sells all things apple cinnamon. Candles, room decor, snacks and drinks, if there's a farmer's market, you'll find her there! // Gala is a glass squirrel filled with apple cider.

My sweet honey filled boy! He's inspired by a honey jar shaped as a bear, and he loves honey tea :) If I put him in animal crossing, he'd either be an assistant in The Roost, or run a small bakery next to/inside The Roost! Besties with Brewster, since they're both very content with saying very little!
